Jorunn Veiteberg

In this lecture Jorunn Veiteberg will use exemples from her own collection to discuss these questions. She has collected jewellery since she was a teenager and recently published a book about her collection “The Jewellery Box” (Arnoldsche 2021, a Norwegian edition, “Smykkeskrinet” har been published by Skald).
Jorunn Veiteberg (b. 1955) is dr. philos. in art history from the University of Bergen, Norway. After moving to Denmark in 1994, she has been working as an independent writer and researcher. She was editor-in-chief of the Norwegian arts and craft magazine Kunsthandverk 1998–2007, and has written several books and many articles on contemporary craft and art. She has been a visiting professor at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Oslo Academy of the Arts and the School of Design and Crafts at Gothenburg University. Veiteberg has led Arts Council Norway’s committee for research and development since 2014 and been a member of the council since 2016.
